SINNER, TURN.

Sinner, turn those anxious eyes From the pathway strewn with thorn. Let them rest upon the skies, Where in splendor breaks the morn.
Lift them high the earth above, Sick with madness and with strife. Dwell upon the wondrous love Of the glorious Prince of life.
So the tear-wet orbs behold, Through the mist-like veil of time, Gleams of heaven’s shining gold; And the vision grand, sublime,
Shall dispel the aching pain From the wildly-throbbing heart; And the wound shall heal again, And the haunting doubt depart.
