Says a postal-card correspondent:— “Holidays are the great harvest-time for saloons and harlot houses; and all other business houses are closed. How important these dens of vice and crime are that they are not expected to respect our nation or our Creator, Sundays, Mondays, or Sabbath days!”

But the government licenses them to do such work, while in some cases it arrests honest men for doing honest work on Sundays. There is but one cure, friend, and that is Christianity in the heart. There is no hope of making men better by law.
