Who Is Your Advocate?

All on earth are judgment-bound sinners; and in the majority of cases this is an instinctive feeling. All must appear at the last great Assize, before the Court of Last Resort, from which there can be no appeal. In appearing before courts men need an advocate. In this life, the advocate is oftentimes a failure, and if he wins one suit, his expenses are greater than a loss without him would have been. Who is your advocate before the court of Last Resort? If you have none in whom you have perfect confidence, let us recommend One who will not, can not fail. He knows all about every case, knows all about the law we have all transgressed, and knows how to help us. “If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” He never lost a case placed implicitly in His hands. He will not lose yours if you will give it to Him. Is He your Advocate?
