They need spiritual food. They get a little in church and Sunday-school when they go, but it would seem as tho the religious paper ought to do more than it does. Before us lies an average religious paper of a numerous and “evangelical” body. It has thirteen short editorials, and but three of these are religious in character, and these are of the nature of reports. The same paper quotes from its exchanges six short articles, and but two of these are religious. And in all the rest of the paper there is not one single article of Biblical instruction save the page devoted to the Sunday-school lesson. The people need spiritual food. They are dying for it.
