Maine and Smokeless Powder Preparations

The U. S. battle-ship Maine is reported to have sailed for Cuban waters. The report also comes that the Secretary of the Navy has placed an order with one firm for 10,000,000 pounds of smokeless powder. Extra men have been set to work in the big powder mill, and it is said that the prodigious order can be all filled within a few weeks.
