Anti-Saloon League Organizes in California

The Tribune of this city (July 20) contains the following item:—
“The Anti-saloon League of the State held a breakfast in San Francisco yesterday, and afterward transacted some executive work. Rev. R. Whitaker of Fruitvale, Rev. Dr. E. S. Chapman of Oakland, Rev. F. D. Bovard of Alameda, and Dr. Hill of this city, were present, and it was decided to thoroughly organize the work in this State. It was agreed to appoint Mr. Robinson, of Michigan, to field work in this State. It is believed that Dr. Chapman of this city will be selected for the office of State superintendent.”
