Jews Who Have Accepted Christ.
In the Prophetic News Mrs. Baron writes that “among the Jews at Budapest a fresh sect has lately appeared, . . . which rejects the traditions, and regards the Old Testament only as of authority.” The Jews in general are said to be against the movement. Mrs. Baron also speaks of Rabbi Lichtenstein’s work for Christ. He has been feeble, but now is better. It will be remembered that Rabbi Lichtenstein is a Christian Sabbath-keeping Jew. The same journal tells us that “there are no less than two hundred and fifty clergymen in the Church of England alone who have been brought out of Judaism into Christianity. Further it has been computed that in Europe alone six hundred pulpits are filled by ministers who have left Judaism and have accepted the Gospel.” We look for many more under the last message.
