Cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb

A SECULARIST paper, the Torch of Reason, in endeavoring to lift up its constituents, asks the question, “Are you washed from the filth of selfishness, superstition, and hypocrisy?”—No, brother man, and they, or any one else, never will be till they are washed in the blood of the Lamb of God, cleansed by the power of the life of God. This may be ridiculed, but it is a fact, nevertheless, a fact proved by the very exceptions. You may reject him in reason, but whenever you will come in the greatness of your need and in simple faith, he will cleanse you and wash you from your sins.
