National Congress of Mothers.

There meets in Washington, D. C., February 17, 18, 19, the National Congress of Mothers. An interesting program has been prepared, and from the titles of the papers to be there read, much of profit ought to be presented. What it will prove to be we do not know. That a great work should be done for the mothers of America and the world we believe most earnestly. A few will be stirred up by such congresses as these. But true, genuine reform must come closer home, even in the very heart of mothers and fathers, born there from above by the Spirit of God. We hope the congress will do good. We pray that God may awaken the mothers of the country to the importance of the Heaven-given trusts and responsibilities which many have too often accepted ignorantly. If the congress can help to this end, it will do good. Noble women are connected with the movement, the secretary of which is Mary Louisa Butler, 1429 Twentieth Street, Washington, D. C.
