Spiritualist Organization and Gospel Work
A CALL has been issued by the First Christian Spiritualist Society of this city for a union of the Spiritualist forces. The circular says, “There are in Oakland some 3,000 or more Spiritualists,” and “the question of the hour is organization.” A meeting was held on the 7th inst., “to assist in perfecting plans whereby Spiritualists and all seekers for psychic knowledge may unite in a manner most conducive to the welfare of all, and the aims the angel world has in view.” This is only one of many such efforts in the world at the present time, and while this great deception is being so zealously diffused into the ranks of society, how much more should the followers of Christ be engaged in disseminating the Gospel of salvation.
