Why Regulate Sunday by Civil Law?

If it is only a civil Sabbath law or Sunday law that is desired, what prominence has Sunday as a civil day over Monday? If Sunday as a civil day should be regulated by civil law, why not a law for Monday and Tuesday, and every other day in the week.
