“PREPARE WAR.”

THIS IS WHAT THE WORD OF GOD indicates the nations will do just before Christ comes. Look at the following figures of the annual cost of war preparations in Europe, and note the increase:—

ANNUAL COST OF THE ARMIES AND NAVIES OF EUROPE.

1869  1896 $580,000,000  $1,150,000,000

NATIONAL DEBTS OF EUROPE.

1872  1896 $23,400,000,000  $30,000,000,000

OUR NAVAL ESTIMATES.

1881  1896 $52,500,000  $109,000,000
The London Chronicle says: “As the Peace Society points out, all the nations concerned in this reckless race of armaments are relatively in the same position as they were before it began.”
