Christ’s Salvation.

Our frequent correspondent, H. Hansen, of San Diego, Cal., does not believe in preaching “to the world justification as half saved, and sanctification as fully saved, or fourfold, or twofold salvation.” He says: “I have never found any better authority for our salvation than the book containing the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. It only shows one salvation. Half saved is not saved at all. God’s Holy Spirit does not dwell where sin dwells. O, the roots of bitterness that have not been rooted out! But we are told, ‘Get half saved now, and then next week get full salvation!’ It is a humbug. We must have full salvation, or we are the devil’s yet.” All of which may not be the smoothest language, but it is true. God saves from sin now. If we are not saved now, when will we be? When the judgment comes, it will be present. Can we claim Christ then if we can not now? Christ’s salvation is full and free and present.
