CAST A STRAW FOR THE RIGHT.

By Julia H. Duffie

BY JULIA H. DUFFIE.
Cast a straw for the right; Tho feeble your arm, Sink not in affright, Faint not in alarm. Right and wrong are contending, Wrong oft on the throne, Yet with love never ending God watcheth his own.
Uplift the downtrodden, Cheer the humble and lone; To the meek bring good tidings, Hush the prisoner's moan. Scorn oppression's base might, The helpless befriend, Cast a straw for the right; And trust God for the end.
