FAITH

By Melissa Barton

BY MRS. MELISSA BARTON.

PRAYER is the strength of the Christian; Pray always, and never faint. Pray in faith and submission, Prayer is the life of the saint. Work, ere probation closes; Work, ere man's race is run; Work, ere time discloses That work for man is done.

. . . . . . .

Rejoice, for our Lord is coming; Rejoice, pray do not fear; For the chariot wheels now rumbling Show the time is drawing near When, gloriously appearing, Our Lord in state shall come. To yon bright world of promise He'll take his children home. We'll rise to realms of glory, His dead shall leave their grave, We'll sing his love in story Who for us his life gave.
