SIMPLE REMEDIES.

The Irish World is responsible for the following remedies. They are certainly worth trying:—
“CRANBERRY JUICE.—A noted physician declares that the use of the pure, fresh juice of raw cranberries, given freely, either undiluted or with an equal part of water, is an excellent means of relieving the thirst and vomiting peculiar to many forms of sickness. In fifty cases where ice and narcotics failed to make the slightest impression, the cranberry juice in small but repeated doses rapidly checked both troubles.
“Pineapple Juice is sure to relieve croup, tonsillitis, sore throat, etc. I know a child whose parents are sure that this pineapple-juice remedy saved its life. The doctor had given it up, when the fruit juice was recommended. A few spoonfuls given brought such relief that the labored breathing became easy, and the child fell into a sweet, refreshing slumber. Get a pineapple or two and can the concentrated juice, so that you may have it always at hand if your child is suddenly taken with croup or diphtheria.”
