DO NOT GRUMBLE.

It is easy to fall into the habit of picking flaws and blaming others for mistakes and failures. Do not allow yourself to degenerate into a mere critic and faultfinder. Mr. Moody gives this excellent advice on this subject: “If you do not like the churches, go in and make them better, but do not become a grumbler. Keep yourself aloof from that class of people; for it is the easiest sort of thing to find fault. Any stupid man can do that, but it takes a smart man to make things better. When a man begins to grumble and find fault, you can size him up for a light weight right away.” If you find yourself prone to complain because things are not done right, yet backward to help to do them right, accept it as a dangerous symptom, and hasten to cure yourself by criticizing less and praying and working more.—Sel.
