CHRIST THY FULLNESS.

BY CHARLES MILES SNOW.
Laborer in the whitened harvest, Reapest thou with sickle keen? Or with rusty blade and faulty, Careless of the grain you glean?
Words of Christ are sharpened sickles, Keener far than man can speak, Freighted with a sweeter comfort For the erring and the weak.
Let his Spirit dwell within thee; Let his words thy sickle be. He himself will do the reaping— Only let him speak through thee.
Let him teach thee, let him guide thee; He hath wisdom, he hath might. He will be a shining beacon Through each dark and stormy night.
Tho no flowers strew thy pathway, Tho thy pillow be a stone, Christ is still thy shining gateway, Leading to thy Father's throne.
Lackest thou the soldier's armor, Strength of arm thy sword to wield? Christ will put his strength within thee, Be thy helmet, sword, and shield.
Child of God, why longer falter, Fearing still to join the fray? Christ hath conquered single-handed Where he leadeth thee to-day.
