Calendar of the French Revolution.

In our Fireside department will be found an interesting article on the “Calendar of the French Revolution,” showing infidelity’s attempt to alter the times of God. Apostasy has also endeavored to do the same thing, with seemingly more success, judging by the length of time its power has been thus manifest, and the number of people who have accepted the change. Infidelity endeavored to change the number of the days of the week from a seven to a ten-day period. Apostasy retains the septenary period, but endeavors to transfer holy time from the seventh to the first day of the week. God foretold the work and time of both, and both will come to naught. “Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.”
