Methodist Mission Progress in Singapore

THE Methodists have been at work in Singapore for ten years, and are able to report substantial progress. Rev. W. F. Oldman has a school, with an average attendance of over 500. In 1880 only ten natives were connected with the mission, and these were Tamils from South India; but by the end of the next year 31 adult Chinese were members of the church, and now the number has increased to more than 200, with the addition of 80 Tamils and 30 Malays and Malay-speaking Chinese.—Missionary Review.
