A.P.A. Stance on Church and State Separation

MR. B. F. HUDELSON, president of the A. P. A. of California, is reported as saying:— “This country stands for separation of church and state along every line. There must be no intermarriage, and there must be no appropriation of the people’s money collected by process of taxation for the upbuilding of sectarian institutions in this country.”
But this very work is going on continually in the Sunday-law agitation and legislation everywhere manifest, and in the “Christian” citizenship movement. How long will it be at the present rate of progress ere church and state will be as effectually united as they ever were in the Dark Ages? And what is the A. P. A. saying with reference to this Protestant union of church and state?
