INVITATION

BY PAULINA M. ALWAY-AUGUSON.
Sinner, will you come to Jesus? He will wash your sins away; Come, receive a free salvation, O, receive it while you may! Wait not for a better morrow, Jesus bids you come to-day; He will lead you safely onward In the straight and narrow way.
Jesus is a loving Shepherd, Caring for the wandering sheep; He has sought them from the byway, And the weary mountain steep. From all tongues, and tribes, and nations, Rich and poor, and weak and blind, Seeks he men, bids them glad welcome, And a life eternal find.
O, ’tis sweet to toil for Jesus; Bring some loved one to the fold; Seek the children, seek the aged, Bid them all, both young and old. Tell them still the old, old story Of our blessed Saviour’s love, Tell them of the heavenly mansions In that blissful home above.
