The Use of Helps

THE USE OF HELPS.—If a teacher cannot get along without the use of a lesson-help during the class recitation, why should he expect his scholars to get along without one? If he has not learned that which he wishes to teach them, before he comes to the class, he certainly has no right to expect them to learn it during the brief time allotted to the lesson exercise.—S.
