Laws of Interpretation.

FROM an unknown author I copy these two rules of interpretation:
1. The order of time is not always to be looked for in the prophetic writings; for the prophets frequently named topics which they had formerly treated, and after other subjects have intervened again discuss them.
2. Although the Bible sometimes speaks in figurative language, yet the plain, obvious, and literal sense of a passage is not to be abandoned unless absolute and evident necessity requires it.
