INDIAN TROUBLES AGAIN.

According to a Sioux City despatch, part of the Indians who fought Major Baker’s forces in the Yellowstone Valley came to the Cheyenne Agency, a few days since, and reported that Baker’s troops lost over forty in killed and wounded, while the Indian loss was only eleven. They also said that Baker was compelled to return to Fort Ellis without having accomplished the object of his expedition. At a recent interview between Sitting Bull and General Stanley, the former said that if the General did not turn back, “he would give him plenty of fight.” From fifteen to twenty thousand hostile Indian warriors are believed to be now in the Yellowstone Valley, and serious trouble is feared.
