THY WILL BE DONE.

“Thy will be done,” I trust in thee To cleanse me from iniquity, My dearest Lord. “Thy kingdom come,” where all can sing, And sacrifice unto their king, With one accord.
Humbly before thee now I stand, Gently to feel thy chastening hand, “All for the best.” “Spare not the rod,” and spoil thy child, Make me to know that thou art mild, And seek thy rest.
Teach me thy will in every part, To seek thy face with all my heart, That I may find Thy tender love and constant care; Grant this, O Lord! my humble prayer, For thou art kind.
Lead me, Good Shepherd of my soul, Where the pure waters ever roll, Sparkling and bright. Through pastures ever green and fair, Guide thou my erring footsteps there, Clothe me in white.
E. L. Sands.
