W. L. BRISBIN: We regard the drying up of the Euphrates, Rev. 16:12, as the complete overthrow of the Turkish power; and the fact that the prospect now seems to be that that power must soon be overthrown is evidence that we must be near the time of the pouring out of the plagues.
Baptism we regard so far as a saving ordinance that it cannot with impunity, be intentionally disregarded, any more than any other requirement of the gospel. But we think that when a person is hindered by unavoidable circumstances from receiving baptism, he may still be saved.
