Fasting and Prayer.

In view of the present and impending perils, of the importance of our coming camp-meeting, and of the necessity of a more thorough preparation to unitedly engage in the work of the Lord, next Sabbath, Aug. 30, is appointed a day of fasting and prayer for the church in Battle Creek, and we invite other churches to unite with us in humbling ourselves before God, and in praying that his blessing may rest upon his cause and people.
