Psalm XXIII.

The Lord my shepherd is; I shall not need. He maketh me to lie in pastures wide, He bringeth me the waters still beside, And in the paths of righteousness doth lead. Yea, though I walk with death, I take no heed Of evil things, for thou art still my guide; Thy rod and staff shall comfort and provide For all my wants, and bring me forth with speed.
Thou dost my table set before my foes, My head anoint'st with oil, and as a river My cup of life with bounty overflows. Goodness and mercy shall forsake me never, But follow me till all my days shall close, And I shall dwell in the Lord's house forever.
