Testimony No. 23 and the Work's Urgent Crisis

Testimony No. 23.

Being pressed with other duties, I have not had time to read carefully Testimony 23 until of late. The Testimony contains matters of vital interest for the people of God. We have reached an important crisis in the history of this work. The numerous calls for publications in other tongues, and laborers in other nations as well as in this, should cause every heart to feel, and awaken an anxious inquiry, What can I do to help forward this work? Yet there seems to be a feeling of drowsiness and stupidity over us, but little realizing sense of the nature of the work in which we are engaged. A message that is to be world wide in its proclamation, containing the most solemn warning the world has ever heard, should lead the people to whom it is intrusted to a solemn earnestness. It seems to me that all who believe this work to be of God, should be stirred to new earnestness by the solemn admonition given in Testimony No. 23. It should be read with prayer and meditation by every Seventh-day Adventist in the land. S. N. HASKELL.
