To the Officers of the Tract Societies.

IN THE REVIEW of Nov. 4, it was stated that in obtaining subscribers for our periodicals, the director of each district could send the names direct to the Office for the individuals, and retain the money and pay it into the treasury, which should always be at every general quarterly meeting. We are glad to see a disposition on the part of the members of the tract societies to do their business through the directors; but instead of each director sending his business direct to the Office, it is found to be far better to send the business direct to the state secretary of your tract society, and he forward it to the Office. Then a statement will be returned. It will thus save the Office much perplexity. S. N. HASKELL.
