Adventists in England.

A CONFERENCE was held May 5-10, 1873, in St. George’s Hall, London, to consider the subject of the Advent. The most distinguished clergymen, lords, noblemen, and others, made addresses on the subject. Another Conference was held at Mildmay, June 25-27, 1873, at which more than a thousand persons were present. Admiral Fishbourn, the chairman, spoke of the remarkable signs of the present day. He expressed a strong conviction that the advent of Christ and the end of this dispensation were close at hand. There is a wide-spread interest in England on the subject of the Lord’s soon coming.
