Central Kansas Tent Effort in Osage County

Kansas.

The Central Kansas tent has been pitched in Osage County since July 29. The hot weather, drouth, and grasshopper scourge have had a depressing influence on the minds of the people; yet our congregations have been fair considering the circumstances and place, there being no village within three miles. At the present some eight or ten have decided to keep the Sabbath, and many others are deeply interested.
We have had some opposition from a Disciple Elder, who preached against us in our tent to a congregation of three or four hundred. He was reviewed the same evening, which resulted favorably to the cause of truth.
We shall follow up the interest as duty seems to indicate.
