GAMBLE.—Died, in Belvidere, Ill., April 1, 1885, Anna Jane, daughter of Luther R. and the late Frances Lawrence Gamble, aged 2 years and 3 months.

We mourn the loss of this little one thus early snatched away by the cruel hand of death. The blow is felt by the sorrowing grandmother and the stricken father, by whom little Anna had been cherished more than ever since the death of her mother.

“Thus saith the Lord, Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.” Jer. 31:16.
