The Michigan Camp-Meeting.

Circumstances seem to be very favorable for a large gathering at this time. Half-fare rates on the railroads centering here, offer more than ordinary inducements for a large attendance. The meetings of the different organizations to be held in connection with it, the General Conference, Publishing Association, Health Institute, and Educational Society, afford an opportunity such as is afforded by no other of our annual gatherings, to all who wish it, to become acquainted with the workings of these different organizations, and to see what is being done in these directions.
It is now thought to be exceedingly doubtful whether a second camp-meeting will be held in this State the present season. It will not therefore be safe for the churches in the northern part of the State to remain away in the certain expectation that another meeting will be held nearer to them. So we would say to all, Make sure of this opportunity. Let there be a general rally. All bring tents who can. Those who cannot provide themselves with tents, should not fail to bring bedding, clothing, quilts, blankets, buffalo robes, &c. Room will be made for all.
Remember the time, Aug. 10-17. Do not lay your plans so as not to be here till the meeting is half through, and then leave before it is half done. Do not clip the corners. Come to stay through. Let us have a good square-edged meeting, such as we shall not be ashamed to present to the Master. The time is none too long; and all who come must come prepared to concentrate all the energies of their being upon the work to be done during the meeting, in order to have it properly accomplished before the close. By the blessing of God we believe we can have a meeting the most prosperous and the most beneficial in its results of any yet held.
