“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth.”
Died, of tuberculous consumption, at her home in Durand, Ill., Aug. 9, 1875, sister Lizzie L. Chesebro, wife of I. H. Chesebro and daughter of George White, aged twenty-seven years. She gave her heart to God in her youth, and in 1863 embraced the truths of the third angel’s message under the labors of Eld. R. F. Andrews. Sister Lizzie was loved by all who knew her. She bore her sickness with Christian fortitude and often spoke of sleeping till Jesus, the Lifegiver, shall come to call her forth. She leaves a large circle of friends, with a husband and three children, to mourn their loss. Funeral services by the writer from 1 Thess. 2:19. C. W. Olds.
Died, Aug. 8, 1875, in Cedar Co., Neb., Louisa Rosabell, infant daughter of S. W. and E. R. Pack, aged thirteen months. She commenced to pine away last January from some cause unknown. The only thing that seemed to trouble her was a cough.
A lovely infant sleeps in death— “How beautiful and fair! Yes, even now, though void of breath, God’s impress still is there.” S. W. & E. R. Pack.
