WHAT IS COMING?

Mr. MOODY is not an “alarmist,” but if he “reads the Scriptures aright,” some great event is about to come—the coming of the Lord, or some great war, he is not certain what.
Now any man of intelligence, observation, and discernment would be aware that some great event is before us, without the use of the Bible. The prophecies of the Scriptures were given to tell us what it is. And these prophecies bid the people who know God and his word to “sound an alarm,” because “the day of the Lord cometh,” and because “it is nigh at hand.” Joel 2:1. R. F. COTTRELL.
