Last Sabbath was a good day with us, at Elm Creek. Several of our Sabbath-keeping friends were out from Council Grove. The larger part of the congregation were Sabbath-keepers and their children, and the remainder were, almost without exception, friendly to our cause.
After a good meeting, we went to Canning Creek, distant three miles from the place of meeting, where twelve willing souls were buried by baptism.
We shall close our effort here, and also finish the work at the Grove, for the present, in the next ten days.
Immediately after the Rock Creek discussion, I will visit Mt. Vernon, Mount City, and, perhaps, Centerville, after which I expect to return and spend the winter in this county. J. LAMONT.
