RICHMOND, WIS.

By John G. Matteson

The friends in this vicinity being desirous to hear preaching, I commenced meetings last week among the Norwegians. Some like to hear and pay good attention; others are very careful to stay away. There are many Americans in this neighborhood. They don’t like to have me preach in an unknown tongue all the time, so I have commenced meetings in English also. Last night I spoke to a crowded house, for the first time, with good acceptance.
