Bro. E. M. Crandall writes that at Hillsborough, where he preached twice, the people took tracts freely, and one family believe the truth. One sister near Trippville, who had never made a profession, embraced the truth.

Couillardville.

I came to Couillardville, Oconto Co., Feb. 21. Gave ten lectures twelve miles from this place, in Bro. Bradley’s neighborhood, where there were but three Protestant families. Had to close the meetings because the house I lectured in belonged to a Catholic, and he forbade having any more meetings in it. One family, however, embraced the truth. Came back to Couillardville, and gave a course of lectures. One week ago, the Methodist minister gave a discourse against the Sabbath. I reviewed him Sunday evening, and we feel that God gave the truth the victory over error. I have begun another course of lectures two miles from this place. Six signed the covenant at Couillardville. Have established Sabbath meetings and a weekly prayer-meeting. Pray for the work here. Marshall Enoch.
