Church News from Darlington and Peoria

Darlington, Sept. 24.
The work here is onward. Great increase in attendance and interest. Our last Sabbath meeting was one long to be remembered. Aged soldiers of the cross, with tears streaming from their eyes, thanked God for the light of present truth. The middle-aged were equally affected, and several youths have taken their stand for Jesus. Our meetings on Sunday last were a grand success. The attendance was large, especially at night, when an immense congregation assembled to hear modern spiritualism exposed. The truth is mightily stirring the people, and may much good result.

Peoria, Miami Co., Tent No. 2.
Our congregations have not been large, but the attendance has been very regular. We are nearly through discussing the Sabbath question. We meet with no opposition to speak of. Held our first Sabbath meeting Sept. 22. There were twenty-five present. Several bore testimony. Some are keeping the Sabbath, and we have strong hope of several more. Will test them soon. We have taken down our tent this week, and laid it away, and are holding meetings in the church, which is free to us.
