AUDITORS VERMONT CONFERENCE.

In our recent Conference business, the appointment of an auditor was overlooked. I would therefore recommend that Haskel Peebles and W. H. Jackman act as auditors for the present conference year. Their respective addresses appear in the Conference directory.
I would suggest that the Conference treasurer, the T. and M. treasurer, and each S. B. treasurer, make a report on the first day of January, 1878, to Bro. Peebles, of the amount of money received and paid out from June 1, 1877, up to that time; and also report again the standing of books the first day of June next. Then let each of the above named officers submit their books to this committee for examination, and to be compared with previous reports, at the time of the next State Conference. In this way my books were audited at our last State Conference, and I shall request the same another year. This committee will also audit the accounts of the Camp-meeting Committee.
It would be well for those making remittances to the treasurers to enclose a card or stamp, requesting an acknowledgement of the reception of the money. In this way each one sending money may know if it has reached its destination.
The hard-earned, frugally saved, and cheerfully given means of the lovers of the work of God, should be sacredly guarded. And each one of us through whose hands these funds may flow, should be able and ready to give a satisfactory answer to the question, “Where did my money go?” A. S. HUTCHINS, Pres.
