TEXAS TENT.

Peoria, Hill Co.
We have been at work here just a week. About two hundred and fifty were out the first evening. Our congregations have increased at each meeting, and last evening the tent was full. More than fifty teams were counted, and one hundred and twenty saddle horses were standing hitched around the tent.
Peoria is a village of about two hundred inhabitants, but the country around is quite thickly settled. The present prospects for good are better than they were at Cleburne at this stage of the meeting. The people are kind, and remember our temporal wants. The whole congregation join in singing, and seem to relish the Advent doctrine, and endorse it readily. We have enjoyed great freedom in speaking to them. This week we begin on the Sabbath question.
