Mt. Vernon.

We have been here eleven days, and have held sixteen meetings. We commenced with about two hundred hearers, but we now have four hundred. On Sunday evening last we had our largest congregation, notwithstanding there was a M. E. camp-meeting in session at the same time. The interest is good. The people show sincerity, therefore we hope for good results in this place. We have discussed the prophecies, the law, and the Sabbath.
In this city there are Methodists, Presbyterians, Disciples, and Baptists. They do not show much opposition yet; but the majority receive the preached word as truth. Brn. Logan and Herald have done a good work in preparing the minds of the people for this meeting by distributing tracts.

Farmer City, Tent No. 3.

We have been with our tent at Farmer City about three weeks. We have held thirty-three meetings. Our congregations at evening lectures have averaged about two hundred. Some are much interested, and seem willing to obey the truth. We are of good courage. The citizens have treated us kindly, and we have enjoyed these meetings with them very much, for which we feel to praise the Lord.
