Let Them Be Circulated.

THE third volume of the Spirit of Prophecy will soon be through the press. There will then be three volumes of the most important reading matter ready for the public. These should be in all the families of our people. Small churches, whose members are not all able to own these volumes, should contribute the small sum of three dollars, and purchase them, so that all the church can read them, and also circulate them among their friends and neighbors. Do you wish the people to know what is in these books? Then let them read them. Do you wish to remove darkness from the minds of those who are prejudiced? Let them have the books. As a general thing those who have least read the works of the author of these books are the most prejudiced. The greatest evidence of the authenticity and truthfulness of the books is in themselves.
Once scoffs and jeers at these writings had effect upon the public. Then the writer was but little known. That time is past. It is only the vain and weak-minded that will now be affected by these things. And such persons could not benefit the cause of God. The time has come for Mrs. White’s writings to go abroad, and accomplish the great good the Lord designed that they should do. Here is a work for the Tract and Missionary Society, second to no other. A special fund of one thousand dollars should be raised to put these books into families where they are not. The writer will give one hundred dollars for this object. J. W.
