The Prayer of Faith.

THE holy Scriptures of both Testaments speak in terms not to be misunderstood relative to the prayer of faith, especially for the worn servants of God, who are needed at the present time and who feel loth to lay the armor by. God has promised to hear the prayers of his people for all such.
Mrs. White, who has taken the tedious journey to the North Pacific mission by steamer, reports that she was very sick on the passage, and is now afflicted with dizziness of the head and pain in the heart. She states that her symptoms seem to threaten paralysis, and she expresses fears that she will never meet the members of our family who are now in Michigan. We have written to her that we fully believe that God will sustain her and return her to us again, and that to this end we shall unite with her in prayer at the commencement of each and every Sabbath until we shall meet her here; and we ask all who feel interested, and who have faith in the promises of God, to unite with us in special seasons of prayer that God will give us health to finish our course with joy, and cheer on the waiting people of God until the race shall be run, the battles fought, and the victory gained.
JAMES WHITE.
