Tents in the Field.

THE presidents of our State Conferences are requested to inform us by postal card addressed to Rollinsville, Colorado, of the number of tents in the field in their Conference and the success that attends them this season up to the time they write. JAMES WHITE.
The August number of LES SIGNES DES TEMPS is at hand, and is unusually well filled with good things. Under the heading, “Europe and Africa,” Bro. Andrews says:—
“There are now Christians who observe the Sabbath in England, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Alsace, Germany, France, Italy, and Egypt. We learn also that in the diamond fields of Southern Africa there are several persons who keep the Sabbath of the Lord. We doubt not that there are Sabbath-keeping Christians in every country of Europe. But we are more fully informed concerning the countries which surround us. Several times we have learned that in Russia there are quite a number of Christians who honor the Sabbath of Jehovah. We hope that some day we shall be precisely informed concerning this people. We would return thanks to the Lord for the progress his truth is making.”
As the General Conference will probably hold over two Sabbaths, no general meetings in any of the States should be appointed for those two Sabbaths, Oct. 5, and 12, if it is expected that any of our leading brethren will attend them.
