The following resolution was presented by Eld. White:—
Resolved, That it is the sense of this meeting that the Michigan Conference Committee select fifty young men who should become students at the Battle Creek College to prepare for the ministry, and assist those who need help by loaning them money without interest, to be refunded by them at the earliest period they shall be able to pay the principal; which shall be kept as a reserve fund under the management of the Conference Committee.
This resolution was spoken to by J. N. Andrews, S. Brownsberger, J. H. Waggoner, James White, and Mrs. E. G. White.

Resolved, That the sum to be raised be $5,000.
