To S. B. Treasurers in Vermont.

We admire the promptness with which some of the s. b. treasurers have sent in their money at the opening of the present quarter. But I would suggest that it is not a safe way to inclose bills, silver, and copper in an envelope and send together by mail.
I know it is very difficult for some of you to obtain either a draft or a money order; but you can send in a registered letter. But in this case, I would not recommend sending silver or copper, nor would it seem best to send much money in this way.
Please report all s. b. funds sent to the treasurer to the State secretary, Chester E. Powell, Eden Mills, Vt. A. S. HUTCHINS, Treas.
