JOHN JOHNSON

Fremont, March 11.—I have obtained thirteen subscribers for our periodicals since my last report, and have held four meetings at a place eight miles north of Fremont. The Spirit of the Lord was present in these meetings. On the 10th, five dear souls were buried with Christ in baptism. May they walk in newness of life. Those who love the truth in this place have signed $191.50 for the Scandinavian mission. Of this sum $63.50 had belonged to Bro. and Sr. Anderson's five children, whose deaths occurred between Nov. 18 and Dec. 7, 1878. These children loved Jesus, and loved to do what they could for him, and so this sum was given as a memorial of them. I sold books to the value of $3.75.
I now go home, praying for the blessing of the Lord on the seed sown.
